KRÁLOVOPOLSKÁ KOVÁRNA (forging plant) Brno that was established in 1889, and thus had a more than one hundred-year experience in mechanical engineering. During the years the company has went through a number of periods of development of traditional mechanical engineering, and been gradually modernized and equipped with production facilities, so in present it is able to provide its purchasers with the highest quality and warranties of forgings and stampings including machining.
The company was privatized in 2001, and it´s 100% owner became MBNS – International, spol. s r.o. As at January 1, 2005 the company name was changed to MBNS Kovárna, s.r.o.
On August 24, 2011 the company was acquired by Královopolská a.s. and the company returned to its original name KRÁLOVOPOLSKÁ KOVÁRNA Ltd.
KRÁLOVOPOLSKÁ KOVÁRNA, s.r.o. has about 70 employees, and is mainly oriented to the domestic market that is supplied with approx. 60% its production. The remaining 40% is exported, especially to Germany, Austria, the Netherlands, and Slovakia.
The company is a holder of the quality management system certificate acc. to ISO 9001:2009, several manufacturing certificates and is able to produce by ASME-CODE and edict for nuclear energetic.
The products are used in light, medium and heavy chemical industries, for nuclear and automobile industries, mining machinery, ship-building industry, and other specific industries, as well.

The main production programme of KRÁLOVOPOLSKÁ KOVÁRNA, s.r.o. covers the fabrication of die and smith forgings including heat treatment and surface finish.
The product range also covers partially machined forgings, e.g. drilled holes or rough machined sleeves. The company can also deliver forgings made from special materials, while the production of these materials is ensured directly by the initial manufacturers of the incoming metallurgical material, i.e. billets and blocks.
In present, the available production capacity of KRÁLOVOPOLSKÁ KOVÁRNA, s.r.o. is 8.000 tons per year. At present is capacity KRÁLOVOPOLSKÁ KOVÁRNA, 8000 t yearly, whereas perhaps 4000 t fall on smith forgings plus 4000 t on die forgings
